Siberian Larch : Siberian Larch for Decking
Because of its hardness and durability, Siberian Larch is also very popular for decking. Again, because of its stability, it can be machined into various decking profiles such as our anti-slip or reeded decking.
Next to European Oak, Siberian Larch is the most popular timber for decking we sell. While its hardness makes it difficult to treat, it naturally has little moisture movement with the seasons and can take an ultraviolet protection oil on the surface to lengthen the time before it takes on the silvery-grey appearance caused by the sun.
Its hardness also resists marking of the timber from both general footfall and some heavier impacts.
Knotless larch is also in very strong demand for yacht making due to its durability and ability to withstand harsh conditions.
