Product Descripiton

We supply top FAS quality Utile both Planed All Round and Cut to Size. This is one of the tropical hardwoods that we supply and has similar properties to Sapele.

Utile timber is typically used for the following:

Cut to Size

Cut to size timber is supplied straight off the saw and cut down to your measurements. Sawn to size Timber is supplied in set thicknesses and there will be a margin for error around the lengths and widths supplied because the saw isn’t as accurate as a plane.

You will be left with the rough sawn Finish for your timber ready for you to work with and finish yourself.

Planed All Round

Planed All Round timber leaves a smooth finish on the sides of your timber. The section size will be almost nigh on what you ask for because of the accuracy of the plane. The two ends will still be rough sawn and slightly over length.

Utile has an interlocking grain and is reddish-brown in colour. The grain provides a ribbon-stripe appearance.

Utile typically grows in West African countries such as Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon and Uganda. Utile is usually found in rainforests where there is a high moisture content in the air.
