Articles: Advantages of Oak Frame Kits
Having an Oak frame kit is advantageous for a number of reasons:
- Professional Drawings
Before starting we produce drawings of your structure for you to check over and sign off. If you want to change anything, you can tell us before signing off the drawings. We will then make your structure exactly to the drawings.
- Joinery Work Completed
All of the framing work is done so all of the mortise and tenon joints are complete as well as any shaping to the crossmembers/rafters and braces on the structure. Each beam is meticulously planed and cut to size to leave the best finish possible.
The holes for pegging the structure into place are also predrilled. If you need any extra dowels, please ask and we’ll send them to you ASAP.
Having all of the work completed is great whether it is for your own garden or if you are a joinery company yourself who has been asked to make one. Not only do they save you time and money, we can make them to your design as each one is bespoke.
- Easy to Assemble
The kits provided for our Trusses, Pergolas and Gazebos are all easy to assemble for an experienced builder or joiner. There is no further woodwork needed to put the frame together, it’s a case of putting all of the pieces together through the mortise and tenon joints and securing with Oak Dowels.
When assembling Pergolas and Gazebos many clients hire a Genie Lift in order to help assemble the roof and keep everything in place before it is secured.
